Send to

The Send to tile in the command menu sends your selection — the marked set, or the highlighted item — to a destination via a controller-navigable picker. A / Enter sends, B / Esc cancels. The tile is greyed out when nothing is selected or the platform offers no destinations.

macOS & Linux destinations

  • Email — attaches the files to a new message (Mail via AppleScript on macOS, xdg-email on Linux).
  • Email (compressed) — zips the selection to a throwaway archive first, then attaches it.
  • Desktop shortcut — creates a symlink on ~/Desktop.

Windows

On Windows, Send to lists the native Send to shell-folder entries and invokes the chosen one with the selected files.
